Investigation of polycarbazoles thin films prepared by electrochemical oxidation of 3- and 9-substituted carbazoles

چکیده
Conducting polymers such as polycarbazole and its derivatives have attracted much attention due to their remarkable electrical optical properties. To prepare derivatives, a variety of substituents can be added the nitrogen atom carbazole monomers or 3- 6-positions. In present study, bearing hydrogen, methyl benzyl group at N-position styryl (naphthalen-1- -2-yl)vinyl 3-position were synthesized. Then, electro-oxidation different was carried out in acetonitrile with potentiodynamic potentiostatic electrochemical methods. Although all successfully electrochemically oxidized, leading formation polymer films on working electrode surface, behavior, electrochromic properties, morphology, thickness, roughness varied greatly depending nature substituents. Among obtained, those prepared from unsubstituted 9-position appeared most promising high electroactivity, electrochromism, good adhesion substrate homogeneous structure.
